You
may remember Steve Goodman, the lofty expert on all things Madagascar with whom
it was my great privilege to talk at length in the plane on our way here. I
said at the time that I hoped we would later see the mouse lemur named in his honour. Tonight, on reaching Andasibe,
we did indeed see his mouse lemur. Prior to this we saw Ward’s flycatcher-vanga
and Crossley’s dwarf lemur.
I
have no idea who Ward and Crossley were but I’ve certainly never met either of
them on a plane.
