One for you Kate

6.38am. My clients arrived last night and today our Peruvian wildlife adventure begins in the Pantanos de Villa. As I pack to leave I look into the dusty garden, five floors below, of the little adobe family house which hunkers between this concrete tower and the next, the last witness of a Miraflores lost. Hopping across the courtyard, under a fruit-laden pomegranate, are the rufous-collared sparrows I've been hearing since I got here.

In Miraflores this morning

  1. Thank you! Are you high up? In Panama we only saw them right up in the mountains.
