Muntjac

On the common a muntjac fawn, too small by far to be out on his own. Fluffy-cheeked, tiny-hoofed and still with traces of spots down his flanks, he raised his flag-white tail and sprang off too late at my approach. Impossibly sweet, but wolf-fodder all the same. If only.
